How We Perform QA Testing at HectaData

Software development is quite creating solutions that run needed functions. For business, a replacement software package may be a thanks to change the operational established order or make a leap in processes optimization so as to make sure better business results.
Therefore, Quality Assurance and software testing are quite finding bugs during a “the more the better”
mode.

QA Process and Development Steps

Initially, QA helps design and control the event process during a way that forestalls serious issues during the project. QA engineers work on the project along side other team members (Product Owner, Project Manager, business analyst, and Dev Lead) throughout the entire software development cycle.

The amount and therefore the order of QA activities may vary from project to project, depending heavily on the scope of the work and therefore the project
aims.

1- Analysis of Requirement
2- Design
3- Implementation
4- Verification of Testing
5- Maintenance
QA TESTING
1- Review of

2- Test Planning/

8- Crossbrowser/Platform Testing
11- Updating Test Cases
12- Regression Testing

Let’s have a deeper check out QA processes and the way they’re connected with the event steps.

Step One: Review Requirements and Documentation.
1. Completeness   2. Redundancies    3. Clarity    4. Consistency    5. Executability    6. Verifiability

The aim is to research system architecture and technologies for discrepancies.
Key benefits for the event process: Improved documentation means a better quality project for lower labor input and more accurate estimates. For this step, believe using specialized software for documentation review, like Confluence. you’ll gather all related documentation which is employed throughout the entire project, and maintain an indoor knowledge domain .
Step Two: Plan and Prepare Test Cases

When the wants are established, it’s time to start out planning test cases, i.e. – describe the actions QA engineers
perform to form sure the piece of software functions as planned. Both pieces of software allow creation and modification of tests, and track results using metrics.

Step Three: Design Test Cases
Below are the most QA activities and their aims: Smoke testing comes first. QA engineers lightly make sure the software, or its module, functions as planned. When passed, the further investigation begins.
Integration Testing
– verify that different components work as one system.
Performance Testing that includes:

Load Testing
Stress Testing
Security Testing – make sure the solution features a sufficient protection level.
Cross Browser/
Platform Testing – make sure the software works  smoothly on different browsers (Chrome, Mozilla, Safari) or platforms (Android, iOS, Windows Phone). This is often especially important for web and hybrid apps.
Regression Testing – detect bugs within the code that was tested  previously.

Again, you’ll prefer to automate the testing (e.g., unit testing, regression testing).
Step Four: Report and Measure

For this purpose, you’ll use Jira or Redmine, both being highly configurable software. This simplifies communication inside the team and helps keep a transparent overview of the development process. Each issue gets a priority level from urgent to low, which the event team then resolves supported time and other people available.

Step Five: Verifying Fixes

When a developer fixes a problem he/she informs the responsible QA engineers, who verify it. The ticket within the bug tracking system is closed when no issue is detected.

This rule applies: no bug are often marked as fixed until it’s verified.
